MORNING ROUTINE

Recently, I’ve been on a morning routine podcast kick. I’ve listened to so many podcasts covering this topic and have two podcast recommendations for you guys.

A 101 Guide on Becoming a Morning Person - I Love You So Much by Kenzie Elizabeth

How To Constantly Level Up, Motivate Yourself, Maximize Your Time, & Keep Growing- The Skinny Confidential Podcast

In the past few weeks, I have focused a lot of my energy on improving my morning routine by habit stacking.

Every night before bed, I will clean off my desk and hide my agenda and computer so that it isn’t the first thing I see. In my computer’s place, I’ll set my journal filled with prompts so that it grabs my attention immediately. I’ve been loving the Spiritual Awakening Journal by Cassandra Bodzak linked here (Only $12 on Amazon).

Before I actually start writing in my journal, I will start my teapot and then go onto Spotify and play 528 Hz, this is a frequency that clears negative energy and helps put you in a positive state. I will leave this frequency on while journaling, and even while I do my makeup some days. This tip I got from Lauryn Evarts’s podcast The Skinny Confidential.

Once I’m done journaling, I’ve set my intention for the day and it makes a big difference. I once heard a quote about how “we can’t control what happens to us throughout the day, but we can for the most part control our mornings.”

After journaling, I’ll go back into the kitchen for the last step of my non-negotiable morning routine. I’ll use the boiling water from my teapot to make my morning digestion drink (warm water, 1/2 a squeezed lemon or lime, 2 tbsp chia seeds, pinch of himalayan salt), and I’ll begin to get ready for class.

I’ve been really happy with this routine lately but habit stacking is a process and I’m nowhere near where I want to be just yet. I plan on implementing 20 mins of movement outside every morning, but we’re taking this one step at a time.

Let me know what your favorite morning routine habits are, or any podcast recommendations over on @shiftwithyuliana (Instagram)! I love hearing from you guys :)
